Part of my work at open2.net involved leading the programme support and a research project across the 5 years of Child Of Our Time, a show, fronted by Robert Winston, which looked at several families who’s kids were born in 2000 and the BBC aimed to follow until 2021. Key to the content within the show are OU supported anthropological research around family dynamics and childhood development. Over the years we had a lot of fun, and learning, through developing and running online surveys for each year’s series. The surveys have been featured by the British Association of Psychologists and have had over 100000 respondents. Check it out. The show should be back for its 2009 stint on BBC1 around Christmas.
